In 2005, Brost Architects and Planners began a new chapter in its history. After 40 years, we relocated to the North side of Cedar Rapids, to Hiawatha. We chose to relocate to an office park we designed called Longfellow Square. Our office is located within a building made up of professional office condominiums.
Located near Interstate 380, and within walking distance of banks, restaurants, and the Cedar Valley Nature Trail, this development does a wonderful job of balancing modern needs of commuters with a more intimate walk-able neighborhood development.
Architecturally, we created a space that incorporates contemporary forms, but also playful color schemes that avoid the, too often, sterile gray and white tones of contemporary architecture. Every employee has access to natural light, as well as operable windows, and our conference room design has caused clients to walk into our office and say, “This is exactly what we want.”
