Principal/Architect
David
L. Brost Jr. took over as the owner of Brost Architects and Planners in
2010. Dave graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Arts
degree in Architecture. Dave is a registered Architect in Iowa and a
member the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. Dave
has been associated with the firm since 1982. He has designed many
building types, mainly in the Eastern Iowa area. His project experience
includes office buildings, financial institutions, retail buildings,
dealerships, religious buildings, renovations, and residential
buildings. Dave is a LEED Accredited Professional and is a member of the
Cedar Rapids West Rotary Club.
Shirley Hedges Brost
Office Manager
Shirley has been with Brost Architects and Planners since 1987. Shirley
manages our accounting and handles clerical duties. Shirley received a
Bachelor of Arts degree from Coe College. Shirley is a native of Peoria,
Illinois and a volunteer with the Habitat for Humanity Women Build.
