THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST
OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS Keokuk, Iowa
This new 6,200 s.f. house of worship incorporated a
social hall/gymnasium with a basketball court, kitchen serving area,
classroom and office spaces, as well as the main worship space.
The city of Nauvoo, Illinois is a city of great
historical significance to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day
Saints. Due to its proximity to the temple in Nauvoo, the church in
Keokuk routinely sees a high number of parishioners. The congregation
has grown rapidly since the facility opened and plans to expand the
building in the near future.
Brost Architects and Planners has worked with the Church
to construct 11 similar buildings throughout Iowa, Minnesota, and
Missouri.
