St. Michaels Catholic Church, which was constructed in
1891, is a classic example of late 19th century Midwestern
church architecture.
For this project,
a
new connecting lobby was designed between the original church and the
Parish Hall.
This project also required handicapped restrooms, a
modern kitchen area, and a multi-purpose room with folding partitions
that could be utilized both for banquets and class room space. In
addition, a daily chapel area and new office space was provided.
The facility uses a brick and stone veneer on the outside
to mesh with the existing building and has a new sheltered entry to
protect parishioners as they arrive for worship.
