FIRST FEDERAL CREDIT UNION  Hiawatha, Iowa

First Federal Credit Union in Hiawatha is a lively financial institution. For this project, an open and inviting lobby space welcomes customers into the building through use of clerestory lighting, glazing that runs all the way to the floor, and high ceilings. The lights required in the space are indirect, and first bounce the required electrical lighting off the ceiling and then back down to the floor to soften the harshness of artificial lighting. The exterior of the building incorporates masonry piers, EIFS, and decorative tiles to create a sense of order and uniqueness.
