GREEN ACRES STORAGE
Dubuque, Iowa
Seth Green, who
has two other self-service storage locations in the Cedar Rapids area,
decided that it was more cost effective in Dubuque to build up, rather
than out. This building is a multi-story, self-storage facility, a
relatively new concept for Eastern Iowa. The facility boasts
approximately 100,000 square feet of space on three floors, a heated
unloading garage, two freight elevators, 24 hour security and keyed
access, as well as a pleasant office environment.
For this project, the client wanted to dress up the typical metal
storage building. To do this, we used fiber cement panels, which mimic
the look of traditional brick, but are more economical, quicker to
install, and can be applied easily over a metal building. The building
also has great visual recognition as the many windows on each corner of
the building are lit up at night and display the signature green
overhead doors of Green Acres Storage.
