GREEN VALLEY AG & TURF  Mt. Vernon, Iowa

Brost Architects and Planners worked closely on the design of the Sindt Family Green Valley Ag & Turf project with John and Derrick Sindt.  The task was more complex than just providing a metal pole building for tractor repair. This building needed to incorporate the design features of a new line of facilities called “John Deere Places” that, in addition to state of the art equipment service, also provided sophisticated retail floor space for John Deere products, ranging from replacement gaskets to toy tractors and t-shirts. The building includes clerestory daylighting in the service areas, in-floor radiant heating, and a massive 42 foot wide over head door that will more than accommodate any piece of equipment John Deere currently produces, and should allow for larger equipment in the future.   In 2009 the facility became part of the Green Valley Ag & Turf family of dealerships, and provides service throughout eastern Iowa.
